Copy practice
Knowing every character and being able to copy a line are different skills. A whole line arrives at once here — write down what you got, and see character by character what you missed.
What should I send?
Sending at 15 WPM, spaced out to 8. Change it in settings.
Why five-character groups?
Because they cannot be guessed. Real words let you fill in a missing letter from the ones either side, which is a useful skill but hides what you can actually hear. Random groups measure copying and nothing else, which is why every proficiency test has used them for a century. Five is about as much as anyone holds before the next group starts.
Should I write it down or type it?
Type it here so it can be graded, but the habit worth building is copying a character or twobehind the sending rather than trying to keep up. Falling behind on purpose is how operators reach high speeds — you are decoding the last character while hearing the next.
