- The date is the seed. Every browser runs the same generator over the same UTC date and gets the same 8 lines, the same speed and the same pass mark. Nothing has to be fetched, so the daily Morse code challenge works offline, and there is no server that can go down or start charging.

- One square per line, how many lines cleared the bar, your accuracy and your streak. The shared result of the daily Morse code challenge never includes the text of a line, so posting it in the morning spoils nothing for someone who plays at night.
- What happens if I miss the bar on the daily challenge?
- Nothing is lost. The daily challenge streak counts attempts, not passes, because showing up is the only thing a streak is any good at encouraging. If the speed is the problem, set your own in copy practice and work up to the daily speed from there.
